Welcome to 1717 Arbutus Terrace—a beautifully crafted, custom-built rancher with walk-out lower level, completed in 2022, perched above the shimmering waters of the Saanich Inlet. A rare offering, set on nearly 2 acres at the end of a quiet road, with ocean views from nearly every principal room. The main level features 3 bedrooms, vaulted ceilings, and a bright open-concept living and dining area with seamless access to a spacious deck. The well-appointed kitchen is a standout, and the primary suite enjoys direct deck access. The lower level includes a fully self-contained 2-bedroom walk-out, in-law suite, offering excellent flexibility for extended family. A detached log cabin-style workshop with loft, ocean views, deck, renovated bathroom, kitchenette, and propane fireplace adds incredible versatility for projects or hobbies. Ample parking accommodates multiple vehicles, RVs, and boats. Ideally located just minutes to Bamberton Provincial Park and its beach—perfect for swimming, kayaking, and enjoying the warm sheltered waters of the inlet. At low tide, explore the shoreline for beachcombing and clam digging. Close to Brentwood College School and Cowichan Valley wineries, with convenient access via the Brentwood Bay ferry. Approximately 35 minutes to Victoria, 20 minutes to Langford, and 10 minutes to Duncan. A rare opportunity to enjoy space, privacy, and stunning West Coast views.

About

With a background in commercial sales and specializing in project sales and marketing, Tony has an extensive history in the Victoria real estate market. He is also a well-known leader in the real estate community and is often featured in presentations or asked for his insights on condo-related media stories. Tony is a perennial MLS Gold Award winner and has also won the prestigious MLS Special Gold Award. From 2011-2015, Tony was the number one Realtor for number of strata sales.

Tony is a former member of Canada’s National Cycling Team and was awarded the Fair Play Award in 2002. He is also an avid runner, road and mountain cyclist, crossfit athlete, and triathlon competitor. Sport has played a massive role in Tony’s life, teaching him a strong work ethic, how to be a team player, and how to lead. Together with his wife, Erinne, who is a 2008 cycling Olympian, he wants to help ensure as many kids get a chance to play organized sports as he can. They have started an initiative called Guardian Athlete (www.guardianathlete.ca) to help kids from less fortunate backgrounds get into sports. He helps other organizations in the Victoria community, too, including Our Place Society, The Mustard Seed, Power to Be, and “Journey,” an initiative to build homes in third-world countries.

At the core of it, though, Tony is a family man. He is the proud dad to Xavier and Catalina, and, fun fact; he owns a modest mango farm in the Philippines with his sister.
