Laurie was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta. Attended the University of Alberta in Edmonton and the Mount Royal College in Calgary. She attained an Airline Transport License and taught flying in Edmonton and Lethbridge for 2 years. After that flew for Time Air in Lethbridge for 10 years. Laurie has four children, two sons and two daughters from 16  to 26 years old.

         She is consistently recognized among top tier real estate agents  and a consistent top award winner for Western Canada. Living in Victoria, arguably the best city in Canada affords a great lifestyle.. Skiing and boating are just a few of the activites she enjoys with her family.
